Loulou's Griddle in the Middle is the tiny diner on Wharf #2. We always say we're "tiny but mighty." We cook with a lot of heart, soul, and deep care about every detail. We aim to make your experience comfortable, fun, delicious, and a little like being at a home-away-from-home. The kitchen is open so you can see our chefs preparing right in front of you. Our community of customers--both local and visitors from far away--also make Loulou's special. We bend over backwards to accomodate your requests, when we can, and we might crown you with a tiara if your requests are many....but all in fun. The diner opened in 1948, so it's rich with history. We're blessed with one customer, Henry, who has been coming EVERY morning since 1948 and he's earned a customized stool, a plaque, his own coffee mug, and a warm place in our hearts.

This is a small place with a lot of character. The always cheery staff makes a visit worthwhile, but large portions of excellent comfort food bring back regulars again and again. The beer battered fish and chips is a regular favorite and their Boston clam chowder has been winning awards for over a decade. The omelette options make a big and tasty breakfast that can last you until dinner. Order a pancake if you dare...it is literally bigger than a dinner plate.

This place is great! I already want to come back for breakfast. Here are the highlights.Burger with Brie, grilled onions, & coleslaw. So good! One of the best I’ve tried to be honest! We also got the chicken sandwich which was also great. We got salmon fritters for appetizers. They were bomb!Guy Fieri was here.It is small, but nice outside seating on the dock. There are pesky birds who want to bother you, but the restaurant gives complementary water guns to borrow to ward the birds away. That was a blast.
